Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about water damage, mold remediation, fire cleanup, and insurance claims. If you don’t see your question below, call 214-865-9111 or send us a message.
How fast can you respond to an emergency?
We dispatch 24/7 across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In most cases, a technician can be on site within a few hours of your call.
Will you work directly with my insurance company?
Yes. We document the loss from day one and can communicate directly with your adjuster to support your claim.
How long does drying take?
Most water losses take 3-5 days to fully dry with commercial dehumidifiers and air movers, though the exact time depends on how much water was involved and what materials were affected.
Is emergency water extraction covered by insurance?
In most cases, sudden and accidental water damage — like a burst pipe or appliance failure — is covered under a standard homeowners or commercial policy. Gradual damage from long-term leaks is sometimes excluded, which is one reason we document conditions carefully at the start of every job.
What is the difference between mitigation and restoration?
Mitigation is the emergency work that stops damage from getting worse — extracting water, drying structures, boarding up openings, containing mold. Restoration is the repair work that follows, from replacing flooring and drywall to full room rebuilds. We handle both, so you are not coordinating separate contractors.
Do I need to be present during the work?
Not for the entire job. We will need access to the property and a chance to walk through findings with you at key points, but our crews can work independently once a scope is agreed on.
Do you work with all insurance carriers?
Yes. We are not affiliated with or restricted to any single insurance company, and our documentation and estimates are prepared in formats adjusters are used to reviewing.
What if my insurance denies part of my claim?
This is exactly where our insurance claims consulting comes in. We review the adjuster’s scope against our own documentation and push back with photos, moisture logs, and line-item estimates where coverage was missed or underpaid.
How do I know if I have mold versus just water stains?
Discoloration alone does not always mean mold, but any water intrusion that sat for more than 24-48 hours has a real risk of mold growth. Our mold assessment includes moisture mapping and visual inspection to tell the difference before any remediation begins.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes, we provide a no-obligation assessment for most residential and commercial losses. Contact us to schedule one.
